I have been curious about Jasper and Octavia since they were introduced in the Wicked Winters series… and I was sooooo happy that they were paired up. They are absolutely delicious together. I loved seeing their romance blossom and steam up my glasses… I loved seeing them interact with Jasper’s twin daughters (who I hope will have their own stories someday)…. These two just totally gave me the giddy-feels and I enjoyed their road to HEA very much!!

The first book in the Sinful Suttons series and it started out strong!! Jasper and Octavia are wonderful characters worth cheering for…. and I can not wait to see what Scarlett Scott has in store for the rest of the Sutton clan. Omg I want the rest of the books… NOW!! NOW!! NOW!!

Another winner from Scarlett Scott. She writes, I read and ugly cry… rinse, lather, repeat. I absolute love her stories.

I can't believe what a great story this was. I really almost cancelled my pre-order because of Jasper's behavior, which was not what I thought it was, in the last novel. But this book was absolutely delightful. Jasper was one great hero! His two six year old daughters were dumped at the Sinners Palace. He didn't even know they existed and they have been neglected. They were so cute. I loved how Lady Octavia bonded with them and I also loved her interactions with Jasper. Once He saw her, he didn't want anyone else but he fought it and tried to find a wife for the twins, but he couldn't do it. Octavia was in his blood. He was such a protective hero and again he was so in love with her. And she with them. I can't wait for the next story! Scarlett you sure know how to write good heroes!! I loved this book.

The property to Sinners Palace II is burned down and a rival gaming family the Bradleys are suspected by Jasper. The Suttons give the Bradleys a beating and then Tim Bradley tells Jasper his wife Octavia is in danger. Jasper moves his family out of the Sinners Palace and in to a town house but Octavia is attacked and is cut with knife before Jasper arrives. Who saves Octavia and who attacked her? Read the sexy Suton's Spinster and find out. Another Regency jewel from Scarlett Scott. The Sinful Suttons has started out as steamy, sexy, hot romance series emotionally driven and filled with authentic Regency details. KUDOS!

When I see that Scarlett Scott has released a new book, I always get it and I never regret it. “Sutton’s Spinster” is the first in her new series, ‘The Sinful Suttons’. If you’re familiar with the author’s series about the Winter Family then you already recognize the name Sutton; They are a family who own and operate The Sinner’s Palace, a popular and successful gaming hell in the East End of London. These are Regency romances.

Jasper is the eldest of the Sutton siblings. He is proud to be a scoundrel of the highest order, loyal only to his siblings, and with time for nothing but his business, drinking and meaningless encounters. When twin 6-year-old daughters are dropped on his doorstep in the middle of the night, he’s flummoxed. He decides he needs a wife to take care of them, but who will stay out of his way and let him basically keep living his bachelor lifestyle. Meanwhile, Lady Octavia is a resolute spinster who has a dream of starting a gossip newspaper. She wants to mine his gaming hell for information to put in her paper. Jasper keeps refusing her, but she keeps showing up unchaperoned in the middle of the night to plead her case. Complicating everything is the fact that the chemistry between Jasper and Octavia is incredibly hot and intense. It’s not hard to figure out where the story ultimately goes because, after all, it is a romance novel. But the path that the story takes is captivating!

Octavia and Jasper are both multidimensional characters with nuanced personalities. The secondary characters are excellent, particularly Jasper’s daughters and his siblings. Scarlett Scott manages to make her fictional characters feel Real to us, while also effectively using some language and slang appropriate to the time and situation. This book is a winning start to what is sure to be another terrific series from this author.

This is the second book I’ve purchased written by this writer. I have the same criticism of this book as the previous book I read. I am an obsessive reader and read all romance genres. I often binge on HRs when I am in the mood for a true romance. I have my favorite writers in this genre-have read every book they’ve written-all hits with a few misses. This story was boring with no substance. The characters were not interesting or exciting. Most importantly I read an HR for the romance. I want to live in the book and feel the emotion I expect from an HR. This book was tedious and a struggle. The book descriptions and the covers of the books written by this writer are enticing but they do not deliver the type of HR story that appeals to me.

I loved this story and read it in a day! What a great start to a new series! The characters were so engaging and from the complete opposite ends of society. Lady Octavia, a member of the aristocracy and Jasper from the tough part of the east end. The attraction between them was instant, although they had yet to acknowledge it themselves. The twins were exactly like young ones, picking up words you would rather them not! Octavia was a caring lady but she had something she was intent on accomplishing. There was a glimpse of a mystery, yet to be solved. I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series.

I have read the wicked winters series and loved them all , the characters the stories are just so enjoyable.This first of two spin offs is written so well I was hooked from page one , Jasper and Octavias story in my opinion is my favourite and thoroughly enjoyable and I know book two will be just as good (it’s on order already ) have to say my kindle is quite full of scarletts stories but there’s plenty of room for more 🙂👍
