I really loved All She Wants for Christmas written by Amy Rose Bennett. This novella had me from the first page since I love stories set during the Regency era. It's one of my favorite periods.


This novella is charming, sweet, and refreshing. It tells the story of Tessa Penrose, a bluestocking, and Jasper, the Earl of Arlington, a rake. Both are independent and very happy with their lives until they are caught in a compromising situation that will almost cause a scandal. It all started with a stolen kiss. To avoid a scandal, Jasper and Tessa are forced to marry, which didn't please either of them. More kisses and the magic of Christmas will suddenly appear! But, Tessa is hiding a secret. Can she trust her future husband? Until he reveals to her his own dark secret. Slowly but surely, their new partnership will evolve into a beautiful loving relationship with a lovely happy ever after.

When confirmed bluestocking, Tessa Penrose, is thoroughly compromised at a Yuletide ball by Jasper, the Earl of Arlington, she is none too pleased to have to marry him. But not only her reputation is at stake. Can Tessa trust this disreputable rogue with a secret she will do anything to hide?


One thing is certain: she dare not trust her husband with her heart.
